Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

BorrowExperts is an advertising and matching service. Selling your inquiry to lenders is what we do. When you submit our form we transmit your information to third-party lenders and lead purchasers ("Marketing Partners") and we are paid when one accepts it. Under some state privacy laws that transfer is a "sale", and it may also be a "share" for cross-context behavioural advertising.

You can opt out. This page explains how.

Opting out will:

• Stop us selling or sharing your personal information with Marketing Partners going forward
• Stop us sharing your information for cross-context behavioural advertising
• Apply to the browser and, where you identify yourself, to your record in our systems

Opting out will not:

• Retrieve information already transmitted to a Marketing Partner. Once a partner has received your information they control it under their own privacy policy. We will notify them of your request.
• Stop a Marketing Partner from contacting you. To stop contact you must revoke consent with that partner, or use our Do Not Call Policy for contact from us.
• Delete your information from our systems. That is a separate right — see section 4.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognised opt-out preference signals. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser automatically. You do not need to do anything else.

We do not require you to verify your identity to opt out of sale or sharing. We may ask for the information needed to locate your record — typically the email address or telephone number you submitted.

An authorised agent may opt out on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide written permission signed by you, and we may contact you to confirm.

We will act on your request within 15 business days and will notify any third party to whom we sold or shared your information in the preceding 90 days.

Opting out of sale and sharing is one of several rights. You may also have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable. See the Privacy Policy for the full description and how to exercise them.

We collect sensitive personal information — your Social Security number, and, where a Marketing Partner requires it, your bank routing and account number — and we disclose it to the Marketing Partner that receives your enquiry. That is the purpose you gave it to us for.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, or for any purpose beyond transmitting your enquiry, operating and securing the Services, preventing fraud, and complying with law.

The right to opt out of the sale of personal data and of targeted advertising is available to residents of every US state with a comprehensive privacy law in effect, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Florida, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island, and others as they take effect. Use the same methods above — we apply opt-outs regardless of where you live.

Several states allow you to appeal a denied request. To appeal, email [PRIVACY EMAIL] with "Appeal" in the subject line.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right. We will not deny you the Services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service. Note that if you opt out of sale, we cannot transmit your enquiry to lenders, which is the purpose of the Services — this is a consequence of the opt-out, not a penalty.
